LINK2-USB

The Link2-USB functions as a Mesh Base radio and is used for communicating with other Link2 Mesh devices using a single PC USB port.

By utilizing USB port power, this Link2-USB does not require separate power or an RS232 port on the PC. The compact size makes it convenient to use with any PC and a standard USB extension cable can be optionally used to orientate and position the radio as desired.

LINK2-USB HIGHLIGHTS

Link2 Mesh Base Radio

The Link2-USB connects to any PC running Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows 10 and operates as a Link2 Mesh Base Radio, receiving Link2 Mesh data. Setup is easy due to the use of WHQL certified device drivers that install automatically when the Link2-USB is plugged into a PC. The Link2-USB is configured using CNET Config and can be used by RemoteDNA software to receive and monitor instrument data connected to nearby Link2 devices such as EPD Teleadaptors, CNET500, CNET ARM and the low powered CNET 1000 internal mesh radio. It can also be used with the Thermo ViewPoint software to support a huge range of different sensors.

Link2 Mesh Repeater/Range Extender

An additional use for this Link2 is as a range extender. It can be configured to repeat data from other nearby Link2 Mesh radios. Several units can be strategically placed to create a larger wireless network capable of transferring data longer distances. Any standard USB based power adaptor can be used to power the Link2-USB repeater, such as an AC to USB phone adaptor or phone battery extender.

Compatibility

The Link2-USB is fully compatible with other Link2 devices containing the Link2 Mesh Radio (may require firmware update).
