RMU

The CNET RMU (Radiation Monitoring Unit) is a wireless radiation monitoring unit that uses the Thermo EPD Mk2 as a detector to measure radiation. It is designed to operate using an replaceable 12V DC battery to provide extended operation.

The CNET RMU enables the Thermo EPD Mk2 to be monitored wirelessly. Centralised monitoring and logging software such as the Thermo ViewPoint system pro-vides centralised alarm notification, while the RMU provides localised alarm notification.

The system supports data transmission every 10 seconds (controlled via EPD set-tings). Data transmitted includes dose, dose rate and status information.

The wireless system uses a 2.4GHz 100mW ISM transmitter suitable for global use or higher powered 900MHz ISM transmitter for US markets.
